Sehr
geehrter Herr Traintinger!
Herzlichen Dank fuer Ihren ausfuehrlichen Bericht ueber
Silo-Boin-Painting
1999!

Schade.
Dear Mr Traintinger,
Thank you very much for your
detailed report about silo-Boin-Painting 1999! But we want to point out
some facts which you obviously missed:
If you have ever organized an event
of this size you might know that it is impossible to estimate the exact
amount of visitors especially the amount of the creative people. According
to the experience of the past years we organized 60 balls, which – and
this is a very important point – have been produced on this ground. (This
was not mentioned in the invitation)
We are of course proud that so many
people followed our invitation. But it goes without saying that we did not
keep back balls for visitors who are late. (How can
you be late when the event starts at 14:00 h according to the invitation?).
As we noticed that there are more
visitors than balls we borrowed another 11 balls from the neighbor farmer.
Obviously you did not notice this facts as well as the fact that we had
color and brushes also for the additional balls.
We have been and we are of the
opinion that on events like this we can count on the communication between
the visitors and the painters. At the end some balls were painted together.
Cheers to the communication at countryside!
Furthermore it seems that Zither
Manä felt quite comfortable on the sage of the Kohlhub-farmer though you
mentioned the opposite. He even was interested in coming the next time too.
When organizing this event we
wanted to keep some free room. That is why we did not mention the
beginning times of the single music groups as exact concert beginning
times. (There have been exact beginning times on the
prospect!)
Further we planned the group
TROUTWINE to do their concert at a time when events usually close with
grown ups. (According to the invitation the start is at 20:00 h; It is not
yours to judge whether children should hear blues or not!)
Resume from our side:
A lot of visitors came to us to
congratulate for this event without stiffness, without entrance fees and
for painting material free of charge. According to a number of reports in
regional and national media (Salzburger Nachrichten (14
days after the event), Kurier Wien,....) we think that it has been
a successful event. It goes without saying that it is a fact that there
will always be things that could be done better and we will take these
things into account the next time. We also know that there are always
inattentive reviewers. We accept both and look forward to continuing with
a lot of friends at Silo-Boin-Painting 2000!

Epilog by
Dorfzeitung: It is amazing that
some people cannot accept critic from an independent side. Just because
the name Silo-boin painting is a legal protected name that does not mean
that there will always be only good critics especially if there is none.
And it is very poor and cheap to point out that everything was free of
chare. What a pity! |
